Why does mint cancel account without a heads up?

I've tried emailing the provided addy  (credit@mint.com)  twice and both times it came back that it inst correct or active. 

I just received an email that states: "Your request to cancel your Mint Credit Monitor service has been processed." . I never requested my account to be closed. I tried logging into Mint Credit and it wouldn't let me in.
I called the number provided and they told me that it was canceled because the payment couldn't be ran yesterday and that I would have to create a whole new account after I made a payment. 
1) I never received a notification that my payment couldn't be made, nor did i receive any communication that you were having difficulties with the payment
2) I never received any communication reminding me that my account would be canceled and I would have to reset the account if payment wasn't received.
3) what kind of business makes loyal customers have to create new accounts and have bad communication with them regarding their accounts?
4) when I called, they didn't even ask to check if the right payment type was used
5) why would you use an email format that lies to the customer saying that we chose to cancel, when in fact it was something different?
I am extremely disappointed in this company and the mishandling of this situation. You may end up loosing a once loyal customer over something that could have been handled differently.

I've been a customer since 2013.  I received this note because my ATM card expired and my account needed the data from the new one.  So I called just now to update it because the system wouldn't let me log in.

Turns out that even though this was 9 minutes after receiving the email, there is no "turning my account back on", but I can create a new one.  The representative said that this is a known issue and has been escalated.  I enjoyed the service but this is a pretty bad move, guys.  When a credit card is about to or has just expired, every other service on the planet sends you an email letting you know it's time to update your billing info.  Someone definitely fell asleep at the wheel here, because even if I were to create a new account, my history is "lost" so I can't see trends, conduct analysis etc...

Pretty significant since we're talking about my finances and not something banal like a Netflix queue.  I guess I'll give that money to some other Credit Monitoring Service?

P.S. I tried to send this to Mint Credit Monitor, but their email address:  "credit@mint.com" comes back as undeliverable, so that's why people are turning to this forum for answers...no other way to get them.  This sentence:  "Unfortunately this community is designed just to support Mint.com, so there isn't too much we can help with when it comes to other Mint branded products like Mint Bills or Mint Credit Monitor."  is unhelpful.  The entities are owned by Intuit, so if someone wanted to help, they most certainly could.  Hate that I have to go back to Experian, but you're not giving me much choice.
