Mint Name is flawed and renaming merchants to names that don't make any sense. Pier 13 Liquor renamed to Pier 1 Imports. DIA Parking to A Parking. The list goes on...

I really like the concept of Mint, but as a new user I find the concept of "Mint Name" to be seriously flawed.  The programming that is searching transactions from my linked Wells Fargo credit card and re-assigning "Mint Names" is questionable at best.  Transactions from the following three business are all re-named to "Avon" - Avon Bakery & Deli, Avon Liquor, and Vail Brewing Company in Avon, Colorado, and all three were incorrectly categorized as Clothing.  Pier 13 Liquor was renamed to Pier 1 Imports and categorized as Home Furnishings.  Parking at Denver International Airport (DIA Parking on my credit card statement) was renamed to just "A Parking."  Making rules does not fix this because what would happen if I actually bought something from Pier 1 Imports, for example, and then it got re-categorized to Liquor based on my rule?

I saw you had posted another question on this same issue previously and I already answered that post, but for the sake of other users I'll re-post that data here, along with some edits regarding some of the other statements made here..

I know it can be frustrating when the transaction rules don't work out, and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. While in most cases it does a pretty good job in sorting out transactions automatically based on personal experiences, we recognize that it isn't perfect and unusual circumstances like this can lead to rather bizarre naming schemes.

The only thing I can recommend that you do is Contact Mint technical support and use the topic "I have a problem with transactions" so our support team can take a look into the way that Mint is naming those transactions, since it appears that the Avon name, for example, is what is tripping all of this up and changes need to be made to that auto filter Mint uses to correct this, which is unfortunately something neither the user or the moderation team can adjust.
