Using an "every few months" budget "charges" me twice.
I set up a budget to charge me every few months, which sets up an effective monthly "payment" where I can send that money to my savings account. I just realized this month, when I had a rather large 6 month charge, that not only does my spending reflect my "monthly payment" for the preceding months, but it also "charges" me the full amount during the execution month. This creates a false negative cashflow for me, even though I have been putting away money each month for that budget, and that comes out of money already budgeted to be taken from my net income.
I'm not sure what the best solution would be, but for people who put away the recommended amount each month in preparation for these periodic payments, it would be nice if Mint would know not to "charge" me during the month where the payment is supposed to be made, thus showing more accurate "spending" and "left over" values.
