Please advice how to change currency for a bank account from $ to INR (Indian rupees)?
I understand, mint only is available in US and canada. And its very disappointing to be in US and not able to utilize the features well, but what if I convert the INR value with average currency exchange rate into USD. So that my final calculations are all in dollars. instead Mint considered INR value as Dollars which imbalances everything. At least the loan section should be editable. So that I can track my education loan.
C'mon Mint! It's called global capitalism for a reason! We're a global economy. People are constantly moving around the world, with transactions and accounts in more than one currency. It can't be that hard from the IT end to incorporate exchange rate data from something like X-rates.com. It's like a simple look-up table, a huge pain for a human to do it, but very easy for a computer.
I am sorry that this has happened, unfortunately the denomination in Mint cannot be changed, nor can it track multiple currencies. Whatever amount actually is displayed on your account is what will appear in your Mint profile; there is no conversion process. I will however pass your feedback along and tag your post at least so our development team can see this, for future considerations.

Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
