When mint automatically renames my transactions, my rules break. How do I stop this?
- I make transfers to "CAPITAL ONE N.A. CAPITALONE".
- I make credit card payments to "CAPITAL ONE CRCARDPMT".
If I want to set up rules for this, here is what I see:
Appears on your [bank] statement as "CAPITAL ONE N.A. CAPITALONE" on [date]
Always rename Capital as Capital and categorize as Transfer
Appears on your [bank] statement as "CAPITAL ONE CRCARDPMT" on [date]
Always rename Capital as Capital and categorize as Credit Card Payment
Mint is preventing me from being able to categorize these via the rules system -- "Capital" and "Capital" are Mint's choices, not mine and I have no way to change that. Having my finances automatically organized is the entire reason to use Mint, so if I have to go through and manually fix things all the time then I might as well stop using it completely.
When will Mint offer tools to view or edit the behavior of automatic renaming? How can I stop Mint from mis-categorizing literally all of my Capital One transactions?
