What made Mint stop accepting my Discover Bank login?
A few months ago, I saw a notification that Mint was having a "connectivity issue" with my Discover Bank account. I assumed it was temporary, and would go away soon, but it never did. Today I tried to fix the account by clicking "Fix It" in the account settings page, which prompted me to re-enter my username and password for the account. After I did this, the pop-up window proceeded to the "Connecting with Discover Bank" screen, where it hung for several minutes on "Authenticating..." before returning to the username and password screen with the message "Incorrect Credentials, please try again above."
My username and password for Discover Bank have not changed since I opened the account and successfully connected it to Mint, and if I go directly to the Discover Bank website I can log in successfully with the exact same username and password I am entering into Mint (I verified that it's exactly the same by using copy/paste rather than retyping the password). So why does Mint suddenly think these credentials are incorrect? What can I do to fix the account?
