I cannot link my Thrift Savings Accounts. When I initially tried to log in via mint, it timed out. When I try again, mint says there is an error because the account is already linked. However, the account doesn't show up. I've tried logging out, closing browsers, etc.
I have had a problem with TSP over more than a month. It just recently changed the TSP name to "null" so I deleted it. When I tried to search for TSP to add it again, nothing came up. Please fix this Mint
Honestly, why should I continue to use Mint? There have been multiple connectivity issues for MONTHS! I understand that from time to time there are connectivity issues but aggregating accounts - that's Mint's whole reason for being. If Mint can't get this right, why should anyone bother? That's like UPS saying, "Oops! We know our whole business revolves around delivering packages but we've suddenly run into a 'small snag' and we've forgotten how to do that..." Using this site produces frustration literally EVERY time you use it. There's ALWAYS a connectivity issue.
Not defending Mint, but Personal Capital (who uses Yodlee as their aggregator) and Yodlee themselves have the same connectivity issues, and unfortunately, their customer service is just as dismal as Mint. You just have to pick your poison and put up with the nonsense, or manually track and update your accounts yourself in a spreadsheet.
True. I don't think they've lasted this long though and haven't been as widespread. If you've looked at the sheer number of financial institutions Mint has issues connecting with, it's staggering. I do agree with you that there are only a certain number of names in the game so to speak regarding decent software packages. I just don't understand that if this is your business plan that you don't have people liaising with financial institutions so that when they implement changes to their protocols, you ought to have enough of a working relationship with them that the fixes don't take so long to make.
I also use Quicken and was notified a few days ago that they've sold Quicken to a new owner. There was no mention of Mint being a part of that deal. If they are, we can only hope the new owner has a bigger commitment to customer service than Intuit.
Has there been any update regarding this original query? Is this a problem that has to be resolved through the TSP lifting a security feature on their end?
Mint stopped being able to link recently to TSP. Couldn't fix on the app. And when I tried to fix at work it wouldn't take my correct login. Got home, tried again, and saw the reason--Mint randomly changed my username to login to my email address, but for some reason I couldn't fix at work. Changed back, finally links back again. This makes no sense.
People come to Mint for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:
Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.

It's a Mint issue. You can download TSP data in Yodlee, and most likely Personal Capital who uses Yodlee.

I've no problem connecting with TSP through either Voya or FutureAdvisor service. This is clearly a Mint only problem.

Future Advisor is a Mint Company! What a joke that the two systems don't talk to one another!

I have the same issue and concerns about TSP and other account connectivity. Come on, Mint -- we know you're better than this -- thanks!
