Royal Restaurant serves food has the category of financial supposed to be dinning. Should I just give up on mint.com and move on to another financial bugetting website?

I would spend so much effort and too much time say one hour to fix the categories of my regular places that I trade with only to find that in the time after that I fixed the categories that they would be all wrong again.

Some info about setting a transaction rule that may help with your issue:

Possibly ... on the website, go to "Transactions", go to the specific transactions, activate "Edit Details", and if you make a change to either the Description or the Category, it should show you a "Rules" line that you can check off.  In the middle it will describe "always rename <original description> as <your description> and categorize as <your category>".

To view all your transaction rules, in "Transactions", scroll all the way to the bottom and click on the link for "Manage your transaction rules".  You can then edit any of the existing rules or delete any rule that's either obsolete or is causing more problems than it's solving.

The "Transaction Rules" cannot be set for "Investment" or "Loan" type accounts - only in the "Cash & Credit" type accounts. It's been previously requested as a "feature request" and hasn't been implemented to this point, so it's probably not high on their priority list.  I don't think I've seen any explanation for why it was set up this way, but that is the way that it is currently.

On the Mint website, if you go to "Transactions", then hover over and activate the "Edit Details" for that specific transaction, you should be able to see a "Details" section which should show you exactly what your institution had for the transaction description.  Most of the time, Mint is pretty good at automatically renaming the transaction in an appropriate way, but sometimes it will make a mistake, sometimes in a comically bad way.  You can manually correct it this time, or if it's a frequent misname, then you might try to create a "Transaction Rule": https://mint.lc.intuit.com/replies/2755860
