Feature Request: Set maximum rollover amount in budgets

I have several budget categories that are emergency-like or sporadic, for example, public transportation, parking or clothes, which I budget something like $40/mo for, but I'm fine with spending $60 or $70 in one month, which is acceptable so long as I have saved up for it.

My ideal scenario has two parts:

  1. Prevent alerts/warnings from occurring when I have used over $40 in a category, but saved some money in advance for it.
  2. Prevent myself from over-accumulating money in a category. If I spend over $200 on a category, I do want an alert, no matter how much I have saved up.

I'm using rollovers for these budgets (solves the first issue), but in the quiet months, I can build up $200+ or more in a category, and I don't want to be able to spend that much without a warning. That's the same reason I can't use a multiple-month budget; I don't want to spend 3/4 of a 6-month budget in the first month!

It would be amazing if I can specify the maximum amount to roll over when I choose to rollover.

  5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
