I've been using Mint for several years, logging in frequently. I last logged in a couple days ago. Today, I logged in and it asked for the 6 digit code. I got that from the email, entered it, and then it proceeded to ask me to set up my accounts as though I have none. It looks like all of my info has been deleted. Is this a known issue? Can I get my accounts back?
Here too. Added them back and now all transactions are duplicate and history goes back to just a couple of months. If this can happen again in the future, why would I continue using Mint? Extremely disappointing...
Bump to top. We need someone from Mint to actually acknowledge that this is a problem. Lots of unhappy people. Android version is great but can't do everything the web app can do. If this functionality is broken for the users that have reported it, we need to leave. There's no reason not to have a response from support on this.
Again, the new URL doesn't work. All you get is a page with financial institution icons you can click to set up new accounts. All the old accounts are gone.
Got the same problem, but I figured out what is going on.
mint.com redirects to mint.intuit.com and lastpass (in my case) fills in my intuit credentials (eg from turbotax) because it matches the intuit.com part. Apparently the mint application accepts these intuit credentials and then tries to get you to start using mint as this existing intuit user.
At the login screen, if I override the details filled in by lastpass with my actual mint.com credentials, then I am back in to the familiar environment, where I can see all my accounts. Now I have to get lastpass to differentiate between mint.intuit.com and other intuit.com sites.
All in all, this process seems to have been clumsily handled - if they want to make mint a native intuit site, they should have offered to combine the accounts before making this URL change, IMHO. And add some specific advice on the login page, maybe? Seem to be losing users over it...
Yes. The new URL appears to not work, but you have to change the URL in password programs you use (like LastPass). Once I changed the URL in LastPass and manually signed in on the "new" Mint, it worked. I now see all of my accounts.
Replacing my username with my email address resolved the issue for me. Thank you abs
I contacted support and they told me that from now on I needed to use my email address and NOT my username to login. If you're having this issue you should try using your email address and your regular password to login.

Yea I have mint on my gmail and turbo tax on my live.com email. So my web browser was using the wrong email to log me in. I still have all my stuff. It would be nice if intuit let me merge my turbotax and mint accounts.
The Answer below is not helping me. My Mint account works correctly on my iPhone, but on the web browser, I am unable to see the account...only a screen showing that I have no accounts set up. Does anyone at Intuit look at this?
Same experience, HOWEVER, I was able to manually insert my sign in and I was asked to create a new password, then i was allowed access. CRAZY !!! I think stand alone MINT is going away
I am still experiencing this problem. On the Android app everything works fine, however when I go to log in using the website with the same credentials I'm using on my phone, it says, "Hmm. That didn't work. Let's get you back into your account."
No amount of resettings passwords fixes this problem.
I am also in the same boat. They keep sending me a email showing that I have 2 accounts and I try and log into one (even after resetting password) and it is a loop with no resolution. I have been doing the same thing for years and now it is not working.
I'm also not seeing any of my accounts when I login on my Mac (using Safari) since a couple days ago. It's acting like it's a brand new account asking for which bank accounts, etc. It seems to be working from my iPhone.
I contacted support and they told me that from now on I needed to use my email address and NOT my username to login. If you're having this issue you should try using your email address and your regular password to login.
I tried using my email address as well as updating my password...still no accounts...haven't had a chance to try on a Windows device yet...this seems to have happened to me right after installing the most recent Mac software updates.
I have tried the iOS app, Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Firefox on a Windows machine...everything is still gone regardless of using the correct url and clearing all cache/history...hopefully this is corrected soon...still haven't heard back from support
Same issue... and, well, um... mint.intuit.com forwards to mint.com. I also have a question out about this with no response from Mint support. Where are these guys?
I think the problem is with the web site. People who have tried to iPad or iPhone without success should try using the downloadable Mint app. The app works correctly while the website treats me like a new account.
I have downloaded the app...it treats me like a new account as well just like the website...I just wish support would acknowledge my contacts with them and the problem and give us an ETA or least an acknowledgement of their awareness of the issue and that they are working to resolve it...
This is the answer for me. Make sure your password manager is not just matching the .intuit.com part of the URL and filling in the incorrect credentials. I don't know what happens if you happen to have the exact same username and password on both another intuit site and mint but it seems unlikely.
Now that the problem is solved... where was Mint support on this? A simple "here's what could be happening because we did this thing" would have worked for me. I appreciate the support community and the value it brings to the users of the product. Especially since it seems I wouldn't have gotten an answer otherwise. However, that does not excuse the actual paid support staff and allow them to ignore issues like this (even if they aren't TRUE issues, just fringe cases arising from a URL change).
Oh, and another piece of advice to Mint/Intuit support (if anyone ever reads this)... When you make changes that affect the URL of your site and how it routes traffic, you should let people know. If users don't care, they'll ignore your message. In many cases here, however, it would have easily solved the problem before there even was one.
For anyone still following this thread, after 7 days without being able to use Mint, Mint customer support was able to help me regain access to all of my accounts and history by changing my old user_id [which was not an email address] to a new user_id which is an email address and sending me a password reset link to the same email address.
People come to Mint for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:
Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.

Mint.com url has changed. If you are using lastpass or another credential manager you need to update it.
https://mint.intuit.com is the new URL. if you have turbotax login or another intuit login your credential manager will use the wrong one.
