I cannot connect my retirement account at oaretirement.com (OneAmerica) to mint. Is support provided and this is a short-term problem or is it simply not available?
My organization recently transitioned to OneAmerica (oaretirement) from BMO. I could connect BMO no problem.
I have been able to directly log in to the oaretirement site, but using the same login and password cannot get mint to link.
Has anyone been able to get mint to work with it? Do you know if it is supported?
Today I added the old BMO RETIREMENT account back in but used my NEW OARETIRMENT log in user name and password that i had created. It finally added the account to MINT for me today....
Yes, your current login at oaretirement.com now works to connect with Mint by choosing "BMO Retirement Services". This started working around December 29th 2016.
I also am former BMO retirement. Couldn't connect so deleted old account, registered on oaretirement and entered that in mint and still wont connect. Tried adding BMO back as suggested above and still no luck?
Since I can't edit my reply: apparently the solution is to add an entirely new BMO account to Mint using your new OA Retirement credentials. You CANNOT simply update credentials on your old account.
Step 1: add a new BMO account to Mint Step 2: enter your OA Retirement account credentials for the new account Step 3: Mint should connect and update with correct data Step 4: Set your old BMO account to "closed" in Mint
I am thinking your old BMO or CNB account should be *deleted* before adding a brand new "BMO Retirement Services" account. Otherwise they might conflict.
Step 1: Delete old BMO or CNB account from mint (setting it to "Closed" in Mint isn't enough) Step 2: Add a new BMO Retirement Services account to Mint Step 3: Enter your OARetirement.com account credentials for the new account
I have checked the link that you have provided to us and we saw that this bank was not yet supported by Mint. On the other hand, there was a filed request support under this bank and we will ask for any update about it.
Please be patience about this issue, we will assure you that we'll keep you posted about it's integration with Mint.
I can confirm that as of today, if you normally login at oaretirement.com, then you can add your account to mint, by connecting to "BMO Retirement Services".
Are you sure your linking to the "BMO Retirement Services" account through Mint is bringing up your current OneAmerica balances? Mine is not - though the "BMO Retirement Services" account in Mint successfully logs in using my OneAmerica login, the balances shown are from when the account was transferred over to OneAmerica, some months ago. No recent transactions show.
I had a support chat with Mint today on this; they encourage others to file reports with them so they will recognize the www.oaretirement.com URL; that one is not currently supported in Mint.
Yes it is my oaretirement.com account linked to Mint through "BMO Retirement Services", and it is showing the correct total balance, and is showing recent transactions from as recent as Dec 22 2016. So it linked for me this morning, after not working for weeks.
When I moved over to OneAmerica from BMO it forced me to create a new username and recommended to create one past 8 characters. Mine is now 16 characters and Mint will only allow up to 8 characters for the BMO login. So I could not log into BMO even if I tried.
@Johngettler - Yes, I see now that it appears to be working; I added a "new" BMO Retirement Services account this morning using my OA credentials. At first it was not displaying anything current; now this evening it is showing today's balance but no historical transactions. My "old" BMO is still in there as well but is hinting to me that it is probably "inactive" (last transactions from back in November). Guess that may be as good as I can get.
And to be clear oaretirement.com is a different system than oneamerica.com. This topic is about accounts that work at oaretirement.com, which started working starting today by using "BMO Retirement Services". If you click the "Forgot your login?" when on the mint add account screen of BMO, it will take you to oaretirement.com as proof this is the system it is tied to.
@johngettler I was able to login and pull updated information using "BMO Retirement Services" and my oaretirement credentials. I am afraid this may be a temporary solution during the transition of accounts from one service to the other. For the time being, it works though.
This fix no longer works. oaretirement.com credentials work fine when on the website, but are not accepted through Mint.com when adding either "BMO Retirement Services" or "OneAmerica - Retirement Plan"
People come to Mint for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:
Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.

I have this problem too. I contacted OA Retirement, and was basically told "tough luck". The problem is OARetirement, not Mint.
