Semi Regular budgets

Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations on how to set up a budget (that'll work) for semi-regular bills like auto registration (yearly), home taxes (twice a year), home and auto insurance (yearly)

I'd like to use the mint functionality to do this - but it doesn't work worth a crap.  It takes the money out monthly sure enough.  But it also, for whatever reason, screws up other budgeting such as "Everything Else".  But more so - it doesn't apply the monies you've been deducting/saving month after month when the bill finally comes due.  So after taking out $200/month for property taxes, then paying the $1200 bill - it doesn't utilize the previous $1000 accrued from budget - and tells me I'm $1000 over budget for the month.

So I'm wondering if anyone has found a work around or workable solution.  I'd rather not just up my savings goal and then have to mark the actual payments "Hide from Budgets and Trends" - as it then doesn't report at all.

Currently, Budgets in Mint is being set "Every Month", "Every Few Months", and "Once". There's no option to have a semi regular budgets. If you'd like to create a budget that will happen for a year, you can use the "Once" option. 

For the Everything Else  budget, it includes all spending not associated with a budget category that you have set up.

As for the Accrual budget, I understand that you'd like to save up in non-payment months so you have enough money in the payment month. In this case, the calculation for what to set aside each month depends on the month you set up the budget.

For example, if you set a budget for $600 every 3 months, and the next payment is February, Mint will allocate $300 in January and $300 in February. Then It will allocate $200 for March/April/May.

Because of this, we don't allow users to have an accrual budget and a onetime budget in the same month for the same category. And therefore,  any money spent in that budget category will show as overspending since the accrual budget assumes you will be setting aside the amount and not spending in that category until the scheduled month.
