Semi Regular budgets
Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations on how to set up a budget (that'll work) for semi-regular bills like auto registration (yearly), home taxes (twice a year), home and auto insurance (yearly)
I'd like to use the mint functionality to do this - but it doesn't work worth a crap. It takes the money out monthly sure enough. But it also, for whatever reason, screws up other budgeting such as "Everything Else". But more so - it doesn't apply the monies you've been deducting/saving month after month when the bill finally comes due. So after taking out $200/month for property taxes, then paying the $1200 bill - it doesn't utilize the previous $1000 accrued from budget - and tells me I'm $1000 over budget for the month.
So I'm wondering if anyone has found a work around or workable solution. I'd rather not just up my savings goal and then have to mark the actual payments "Hide from Budgets and Trends" - as it then doesn't report at all.
